Hey blog fam! I have something special lined up for you today. First, take a moment to appreciate that piece of art that’s above this paragraph. The meal is very attractive, but not only does it look good, it tastes even better. Most importantly, it’s very easy to make.
You may be wondering why today’s post is about food. Okay, rewind back to My First Blog Post. I told you guys that I’ll be blogging about myself and Food is a very important part of my Life. I’m a Foodie. I love food. My best friend loves cooking and came up with this recipe. I love eating food and she loves making food, a match made in heaven. Have you ever heard of a better duo?
A month ago, I was chatting with one of my male friends and somehow we got talking about what he eats at school. He can’t cook so therefore he has this nearly monotonous diet which consists of Bread, Garri also known as cassava flakes, Spaghetti and Rice. He complained about not having eaten anything good since he got to school. It gave me an idea so I asked my best friend for help. She prepared the recipe and that’s what led to today’s post.
Let’s get straight to the Recipe.
Plantain – 3 big pieces
Scotch bonnet, locally known as RODO. use as many as you want
Tomatoes – 2 medium sized.
1 Maggi cube chicken flavor
Two to three large eggs
A bulb of onion
Half cup of vegetable oil
2 tbsp of green peas
Wash your filthy hands.
After that’s done, slice your plantain, scotch bonnet, tomatoes and onion.
Slice your carrot and green pepper horizontally.
Season your plantain with salt, scotch bonnet, pepper and onion then fry with vegetable oil.
Remove from oil and fry the egg with the oil. Season with Maggi and salt
Lastly, fry peppers, carrot, green peas, tomatoes, onions. Season with Maggi and salt. Fry until slightly burnt. Do not add water while frying.
After sauce is cooked, add plaintain and egg. Stir well. Add spring onions and garnish with onions. Serve hot and enjoy.
